COMMERCIAL MORGAGE BROKER

Your role as a Commercial Mortgage Broker will be to serve the client as a representative and advocate through the financing process. Our ideal team member has 3+ years experience in the commercial real estate or mortgage lending industry. Experience as an analyst, underwriter, broker, or similar role will be given preference. Candidates must be professional, with high integrity and uncompromising ethical standards. This is a commission-based position.

 

Job duties and key responsibilities include:

  • Advise clients on different loan options and financing strategies

  • Assessing a buyer's need and ensuring they meet funding requirements

  • Collect, analyze, and organize the information to underwrite and originate commercial loans

  • Source commercial real estate debt & equity opportunities

  • Present financing quotes from commercial mortgage lenders, banks and other intermediaries to the client, and communicate loan terms to borrowers with clarity

  • Research and prospect new clients

The ideal candidate will have skills & experience including but not limited to:

  • 3+ years of commercial real estate or mortgage origination experience (or experience underwriting and structuring commercial mortgage loans )

  • Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Effective business development and client acquisition skills

  • Analytical skills, disciplined time management habits, and attention to detail

  • Comfortable reviewing, understanding, and analyzing financial statements; strong financial modeling skills in Excel

  • A proven track-record in achieving sales results

  • Strong industry contacts throughout the U.S. and an active business referral network

  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work with little supervision

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; MBA or MRED preferred (or 5+ years of similar industry experience)
